Increase fullness and projection of your breasts

The prospect may seem overwhelming, but it’s not as complicated as you may think. Once you have a basic knowledge of the treatments that are available to you, you can get the most from your plastic surgery in-office consultation. You’ll know what questions to ask and what answers to look for. A well-informed patient is more likely to have realistic expectations and be happy with her results.

As a plastic surgeon, I meet women seeking advice regarding all areas of their bodies, but one of the most common areas of concern is the bust line. For some women, it becomes obvious at an early age that their breasts aren’t shaping up into the size or form that they had hoped for. For others, who may have been initially satisfied with their breasts, the natural changes brought on by childbearing, age, and gravity are very much unwelcome and unacceptable.

The question is then, what to do about the situation. There is no correct answer, and every woman who feels a sense of dissatisfaction with her breasts goes through a decision-making process unique unto herself.

My goal is to help you reach the decision that is right for you, even if that decision is to stay just the way you are. The best advice I can give any prospective surgical candidate is to research treatment options such as Breast Augmentation (implants) or Breast Lifts, have realistic expectations, be clear what your goals are, and choose a competent surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Plastic surgeons don’t expect you to come into the office and tell us exactly what surgery to perform and how to perform it. However, it is helpful if you can tell us generally what you want to achieve from the surgery. Together, you and your plastic surgeon can develop a plan that should help you reach your goals.
